'aman amun' is the art practice of brian mcgaw.  it manifests itself as music, visual art, photography, performance, installation and interactive media.

the music of 'aman amun' pulls from the various corners of house, jazz, disco, hip hop, and pop to create a sound that is harmonic and emotive but danceable.

the 'aman amun' live show has taken many forms, often including visual and interactive elements and sometimes full bands.  his work creating interactive experiences for brands like google, nike, and the frost museum of science have taught him how to bend media and technology to create powerful experiences for the public.

after a four year focus on rattling the rock clubs of new york with his band bellechord, mcgaw brings the 'a man amun' project back out into the light.

this june, in collaboration with occurrent arts and visualist kirill torshev, mcgaw debuts 'QUALIA,' the interactive live show for the third release by ‘aman amun’.  in it, they've created a large LED door with which they can inject experiences onto the dancefloor.  with sound, image, props, and performance QUALIA takes an audience on a musical journey through time and space.

additionally 'aman amun':

-has garnered national college radio airplay and has showcased at CMJ 2008 and at SXSW Interactive 2009.

-opened for nationals such as BoomBox, El Ten Eleven, and Junk Culture, and has been the feature of multiple independent documentaries.

every single word i choose to say
is subject to the world's interpretation
so my meaning of my words can't quite belong to me,

all we have is our intent
to color in our own actions.

just put your hands and your tongue away
they can't do anything,

push your actions and words aside,
because in between them is where the subtext hides.
