David Bowie influenced everyone from Lady Gaga to Derek Trucks (read our interview) to countless less famous artists including many right here. "The Next Day: A David Bowie Tribute" is Sarasota's arts and music community celebrating Bowie's legacy on the third anniversary of his acclaimed album "The Next Day."
The music lineup includes Michael Miller, Steve McAllister, Mark Alan, Justin Kaiser, James Zimmerman, Lady J, Shannon Fortner, Amanda Lydon, Kandy & Iain, The Agoura Hills PTA, We Can't////, and the Schmitz Brothers Band. In addition to hearing these acts perform Bowie songs, there will be a gallery featuring Bowie illustrations by local artist Luther Rosebaro. - Herald Tribune

Amanda puts pen to paper like a professional, having completed dozens of songs to date all the while leaving no genre untouched. From songs that resonate with Amanda, to ones she writes specifically for other artists, and to the more than occasional rap and multi-paged poem it is evident that this talented young woman cannot stop creating. The content of her songwriting has no bounds.
More recently, she has begun work with professional lyricists and collaborating on demos for known pop icons.
