Bio

I've played guitar since the 1990s, but I first started writing songs and playing gigs in Charlottesville, VA circa 2001, influenced by the incredibly strong acoustic music scene there. I was lucky enough to learn from the likes of Danny Schmidt (now on Red House Records), Paul Curreri, Devon Sproule, Jan Smith, Brady Earnhart, and plenty more mind-blowingly talented singer-songwriters and bands. When I moved to Raleigh, NC in 2004, I started a bluegrass / Americana band called Shotgun Romance (lineup: standup bass, mandolin, banjo, and me on the mic and guitar) which enjoyed a good deal of local success in North Carolina. I was sad to leave Raleigh and Shotgun Romance (stupid day job), but I continue to write songs and play. In 2008 I had a mildly viral online hit called "All My Internet Friends."
