Bio
Amanda, a 26-year-old self-taught pianist, started out a choirgirl, moved on to front a cover band to pay her way through college, then set aside her bachelor's degree to pursue a life in the music industry. After spending two years in Austin, Texas (her idea of grad school) learning more than a thing or two about songwriting, performance and life as a musician, Amanda has returned to Columbus, Ohio and her Midwestern roots. Difficult to pin down, due to her unusual blending of genres, Amanda's influences include Bright Eyes, Muse, Tori Amos, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jeff Buckley, and Coldplay.
