"Soon to be scene"

Ultra-precious pop star Amanda Lauren was deep in conversation with Vancouver-based director Charles Martin Smith (Stone of Destiny) at the opening reception of the Shangri-La Hotel Tuesday. Amanda released her first video Forever Young here in Vancouver in November. Her CD 'Hitch a Ride' was released for download on iTunes, eMusic and Amazon.com last month. AManda did some voice-over work for Stone. How long before we see her on the big screen.

"Kid Vid"

Juggle the letters and her first name sounds like Madonna. What else could induce 12-year-old-singer-dancer-actor Amanda Kierszenblat to drop her family moniker and march into showbiz with only her given one? Ans she is marching. After appearing in several TV commercials, the West Point Grey Academy student recorded a "kid-version" video of Alphaville's Forever Young, which she'll release, along with a waxed-in-LA CD of six songs, at the Canvas Lounge Nov. 20.

Bio

Straight out of Vancouver, Canada, AMANDA LAUREN recently launched her Hitch A Ride Promotional EP with FOREVER YOUNG, a collaboration with Alphaville's publisher. We are excited to be in the studio working on additional songs.

Simultaneously, I've been working on my acting career - honing in on my craft. This Spring I was in two showcases with a fabulous cast, directed by Carol Tarlington of Tarlington Productions. I just recently booked the lead in a musical sched'd for late August (more news to come opptys to see me). :)

I'm repped signed with Candace Fulton at Kirk Talent and have numerous additions and call-backs, which is exciting. Just a matter of time before someone recognizes. :) I'm just grateful for the opportunity.

I'd love to give big shout outs to Michael Challenger of ANU Productions, Candace Fulton and Lisa Kirk at Kirk Talent, and Jeremy Broekman of BROEKMAN communicaitons for taking a chance on me. Grateful for your dedication to my development.

And of course, I'm surrounded by a really loving and supportive family - Thank you Mom, Dad and Jacqueline!!! And my two 3-year-old Maltese Poodle/Shitsui - Jasper and Coconut!

Looking forward to the future and the challenges that lie ahead!
