Bio

What makes Amanda Markley’s music stand out is the authenticity of her lyrics and her ability to fearlessly share her struggles and joys through the music she writes. Her amazing vocals and approachable attitude at live gigs has made her a repeat performer at numerous venues in the local scene.

2013 was a breakout year for Markley, who just turned 20. Chosen from Ernie Ball’s Battle of the Bands to play Van’s Warped Tour ‘13 in Seattle on the Acoustic Basement stage.

Hot off a fourteen city West Coast Tour, Amanda continues to play in the Seattle music scene, sharing billing with Aaron Carter, Charlotte Sometimes, Kady Z and Tyler Ward.

Her CD “Breathe” was produced by the very talented Scott Krippayne (15 #1 hits recorded by Jordin Sparks, Demi Lovato, Kutless to name a few) who also co-wrote the track “You and Me”. Full of inspiration, borne out of her personal struggles with anxiety disorder and panic attacks, the album is about finding your purpose, trying to believe in yourself and not giving up, no matter what the odds are.

Amanda's newest EP, Monster manages to captivate with a flurry of emotionally-charged tracks, which equals three amazing new songs Markley can now add to her catalogue. Her music video of her song COLD resonates with those who have been hurt by someone they thought loved them, garnering over 41,000 views to date on her YouTube channel.

Her songs are being played on Spotify, Pandora, Sirius Radio Coffee Café, several on line radio stations in California and the UK.

Passionate about helping others, especially young teens, she has donated her time to the “ Sing It Forward” scholarship program for the arts, has choreographed a Summer Theater Children’s Ensemble and works part time at the YMCA’s Teen Union Building, a resource facility for the arts and music, giving teens a positive supportive environment to make a difference.
