Bio

I am a country singer/songwriter born and raised in Los Angeles. My parents are baby boomers, so I received an early education in music. My lullabies ran along the lines of “Rock Around The Clock,” not “Rock-A-Bye Baby.” I begged my parents to get me an instrument from the time I was 6. I tried playing my home piano, but only three notes worked. So, I got my music out by singing and making up songs. I used to serenade anyone who came through the front door.

By the age of eight I began training as a classical clarinetist. I also continued singing and joined my school’s choir, where I was selected for small vocal ensembles each year. Through my teens, I started paying attention to songwriting styles. After listening to No Doubt, Incubus, The Beatles and others for hours and hours I began writing songs.

I always had a love for music, but didn't like Country. My parents tried exposing me to it, but I rebelled and didn't want to listen. But, one day my mom made me sit down and watch a concert of Garth Brooks Live from Central Park on TV. That concert showed me that country music was amazing. I began soaking up as much country as I could. My songs focus on my life and all that goes on around me. I am a storytelling and observational songwriter.

I went to Boston’s Northeastern University for their competitive Music Industry program, with an academic scholarship. While in college, I played clarinet in the Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, and Orchestra. I had picked up Tenor Saxophone in high school and continued by playing in Northeastern’s Rock Ensemble. I also sang with one of my school's top a capella groups, the Nor’easters.

Now I sing every Monday night at the Cowboy Palace in Chatsworth, CA. I have been invited to sing, as a guest, with the Coldwater Canyon Band, a popular Cal Country band. And I love to get out and play with my friend JD Bernal.

Right now I am working on a demo album that is being produced by the amazing Chad Watson. I take time to write and practice guitar every day. I study guitar and voice with acclaimed singer/songwriter Pam Loe. I have accumulated an awesome fan base at the Cowboy Palace and have many friends/fans throughout LA, New York, and many parts of the North East.

One of my major goals in life is to become successful enough to take care of my parents.

In 2007, I graduated cum laude, after only three and a half years, with a B.S. in Music Industry, and minor in History. Since then I have moved home to LA and have been pursuing my singing and songwriting career.
