Biography

A man walks into a club where I was playing a gig with my first cover band, Group Therapy, hands me his card and says, "Call me, I'll change your life." Of course, if I had a nickel for every time I'd heard that ... three months later, I picked up the phone. That man, Mr. Douglas Reed and I began to formulate ideas and recruit local musicians for an original music project. Recording started in June 2006, but unfortunately Doug passed on in June 2007. The CD we are currently working on is a culmination of my time with Doug, Mr. Peter Manno (Doug introduced us), and Keith McIntosh Kurtiss spiced by my experience gained since then. Keith passed on in September 2008 shortly after we returned from New York where we were playing with our band Baked Monkey. Even though we have suffered the loss of two great talents, their memories live on in our music. In addition to my originals, my band does a host of cover tunes crossing almost every genre. Each and every show is a performance that grabs people and entrances them.

Lyrics

Rain Down

Written By: Amanda Potter

I'm lookin' out my window
Today, will be a new day
And I can't help but wonder
What I'm gonna say, hey

Rain down on my head
Rain down, oh I said
Rain down I pray
Rain down and wash
the past away

I know we both didn't mean
everything that we said (today)
I want you to stay with me
you're still in my head
And I just don't know
if you'll go or stay (wonder)
But I'll look for you out my window
today, today, today, hey

Rain down on my head
Rain down, oh I said
Rain down I pray
Rain down and wash
the past away

I know today we're both angry
and I know today we're both scared
But this was gone past
what we both ever dared

Bring it down now on my head
Rain down, oh I said
Rain down I pray
Rain down and wash
the past away
Wash the past away
Ooooh rain down on my head

oh I said

Baby I Will

Written By: Amanda Potter

After all these years together
Through bad times and through better
And finally it’s commin’ down to this
And if I choose to pack my bags and go
and leave behind all that I’ve known
And- Noone knows how hard for that is
And I know you’re happy where you are
But baby you’ve known all along
It’s not where I have set my heart

Walkin’ down this road alone and
Feelin’ like
I’ve just been stoned but I...
I love you still
And If I have to leave you here
To chase my dreams and face my fears
Oh Oh Baby I will
Oh Baby- I wil
l
We both knew there could come a day
When stardust would call my name
And I’d be on that plane headin’ for L.A.
You’ll never know how much I’ve cried
Never know how hard I’ve tried
To make everything seem like it’s okay
And I know you’re happy where you are
But baby you’ve known all along
I was gonna want a brand new start

Chorus (repeated)
