Is it possible for a person to be blessed with too much talent? I don’t think so, but it’s obvious upon listening to her that Amanda Williams has plenty of it so spare. She’s a great songwriter, but also possesses a voice that just oozes with talent, and can be at once both soulful and sensual at the same time.

The set starts off with the laid back and restrained “Muse.” While it may be a little too deep for mainstream radio, I absolutely love the song! You can tell that confidence is no problem at all for the singer. If you’re looking for a little more tempo, there’s plenty on LITTLE RED HEN that will satisfy you, as well. Songs like “Right At The Wrong Time” and the title track prove that she can belt it out with the best of them.

Still, when Amanda Williams tackles a ballad, there’s something special that happens. “Best Part Of Me” is a great example of this, as is the sultry “Lazy Love,” where her sensual side comes out. The cool thing is, unlike some of Nashville’s biggest stars, she’s not trying to play the vamp role. As George Strait sings, ‘It Just Comes Natural.” And, for Amanda Williams, indeed it does!
