Bio
Desmond Morris was born on August 17, 1977 in Cherry Hill, NJ. When he turned 4, his parents got a divorce. He then moved to Hollywood, FL with his mother and older brother, Wayne.
At an early age, Desmond discovered that he had talent. At first, this was displayed through drawings of all sorts. One of his favorite subjects was Transformers. He would use his imagination to draw his own Transformers so that perhaps one day, he could grow up and become a toy designer.
As he got older he started to write raps here and there. He joined up with some friends when he was in the Seventh Grade and together they wrote a rap and choreographed a dance routine to compete in a schoolwide talent show. When he heard the response of the audience, he fell in love.
Desmond also started singing around this time and discovered that people enjoyed his singing. He continued to sing and rap through middle school, high school and college. He became a Christian on May 1, 1998 and decided that he wanted to use his gifts for the building of God's kingdom.
Desmond has been a part of the South New Jersey gospel quartet, The Spiritual Five for the past four years. This has helped him to gain experience in ministering God's message through song. Now, Desmond hopes to spread the gospel through Holy Hip Hop and R & P (Rhythm and Praise) as this was the music that he grew up listening to. He believes that people would want to hear the message through a musical vehicle that was familiar to them.
