AmariM emerges as an artist whose music seeks to challenge the status quo of R&B and satisfy 'real music' lovers. This is no accident, but rather an intentional glimpse into the mind and soul of AmariM. AmariM's style is rooted in R&B with rich sultry soul and jazz undertones and influences in gospel...; this allows her to move fluidly between either genre, creating a vibe that is unique but at the same time familiar.
AmariM is a singer, songwriter and arranger. Vocalists such as Anita Baker, Rachelle Farrell, Phyllis Hyman & Stevie Wonder; groups Incognito and Mint Condition; and new artists Angie Stone, Amel Larrieux, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, and India.Arie are among her favorites.
"Music has always seemed to live in and around me, and for a long while I didn't embrace it.
