Amaya Demont

Bursting into the music industry holding nothing back, Amaya Demont has become a sensational artist. She was born in the Bronx, N.Y. on the 16th of November 1987. She comes from a mixed heritage, her mother from Guyana and her father from Cuban and Italian decent. Performing was always special in her life but it wasn’t until she sang in her tenth grade talent show did she know the stage was her place and performing was her love. As she became more serious about her passion, she started writing songs under the inspirations of Mariah Carey, Joss Stone and Christina Aguilera. She wanted nothing more than to write music that had its own original sound which people can relate to, just as her influences had done.

When Amaya is not at the studio she enjoys kicking back and relaxing with friends, but she rarely takes time off, for one of her biggest fears is not achieving her goals. Her dreams of being successful and having the ability to be herself had sprung from the times when people said it wasn’t possible. She has already started a successful life by achieving her Associates degree in Interior Design from the New York Fashion Institute of Technology and is ready to share with the world her talent for music. Amaya Demont continues to strive for her dreams, stopping at nothing until she reaches the top.
