Bio

Born in southern Alberta, Amber Deonne was exposed to jazz at a young age. By 16 she was the youngest member of Frank Gnandt's LCI Jazz choir. The group is an award winning, audition only jazz ensemble that is well known around the world, touring Europe, Japan, and USA.
After leaving southern Alberta, Amber found more musical success as she completed her Bachelor of Jazz Studies at Vancouver Island University. During her studies, Amber had many opportunities to work and collaborate with many great musicians such as writer/producer/performer Pat Coleman (Road House), writer/producer Alex Tsisserev (Sony), Bass player Ken Lister, and Drummer Buff Allen.
Amber's great vocal influences are Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn and Billy Holiday.
Currently you can find Amber singing with Bass player Sean Deakin, and Pianist Alli Devinish, making quick work of heavy jazz tunes. Her laid back style and inventiveness is a real pleasure to hear.
Amber can make any tune so personal, a really mature, emotional singer, not afraid to show you her true colors.
