Amber Lucille spreads hope and encouragement through her music to anyone who will listen. You can catch Amber Lucille performing regularly at Austin venues and beyond.

Biography

Amber Lucille offers a beautiful blend of Country, Rock, Americana and original music. Amber has been playing guitar and writing songs since her early teens. Her smoky voice and poignant lyrics create an atmosphere of shared love and longing in audiences in clubs, at festivals and even inside the "Walls" at Huntsville State Prison.

She started out in the Houston folk scene performing regularly through the early 90's. In the late 90's, she moved to Austin, playing and singing in various music projects until focusing on her hard rock duo, Full Stride, which performed in the Red River District and throughout Texas and the western United States. In addition to guitar, Amber also honed her skills on bass guitar and drums.

In early 2008, Amber returned to her roots, with her namesake band, Amber Lucille. She wants to spread hope and encouragement with her original music, much of which has been released on her self-titled EP, "Amber Lucille," and her full-length CD, "All the Beauty and the Love," co-produced by Omar Vallejo and released in summer 2010. Amber has a new album called "That Love that Never Ends" set for release in the Spring of 2012 with a CD release show at The Continental Club recorded at Wonderland Studios Austin, TX with Tim "Tank" Casterline. You can preview some of the tracks from both albums here on Sonicbids.

The solid band line-up includes Amber Lucille on bass, guitar and vocals, Charlie Murphy on B-Bender lead guitar and vocals and Melodie Zapata on drums and vocals. All the band members write and sing their own music, as well as offering backup and sweet harmonies to Amber's songs. Amber Lucille has opened for, or shared the stage with Kevin Fowler, Seth James, Billy Joe Shaver, The Mother Truckers, Micky and the Motorcars, James Otto, Jeff Allen, Vallejo and Rosehill to name a few...

That's Not Me

Written By: Amber Lucille

"Thats Not Me"

You say that you trust me
I feel the same way
but times have changed now
now that I'm thinking

That's not me
I'm truly free

I've come to realize
somethings are just not right
leave someone hurting
ruin someones whole life

That's not me
I'm truly free
and you are cheating

I have to accept that
you make me really feel it
I truly want to be
someone whose caring

That's not me
I'm truly free

I really do like you
but I can't do the things you do
You don't have to try hard
just think of someone like her

That's not me
I'm truly free
and you are cheating

The Same

Written By: Amber Lucille

"The Same"

What I see in You
No one else might see

What I See in you
No one else can be

When I'm feeling blue
You're there to comfort me

When I say we're through
You stand by patiently

Will you stay with me
Will you forgive my mistakes
Will you love me please
The Same

What I see in You
No one else might see

What I See in you
No one else can be

When I'm feeling blue
You're there to comfort me

When I say we're through
You stand by patiently

Will you stay with me
Will you forgive my mistakes
Will you love me please
The Same

Will you lay beside me
Will you live your life with me
Will you love me gently
The Same

Ooh Ooh

All the Beauty and the Love

Written By: Amber Lucille

"All the Beauty and the Love"

On a dark lonely night
I came to you
I looked you in the eye
I said I loved you
I couldn't remember
All the bad times
All of the lies

I dreamed of a life where I wouldn't fight
Things were alright if I stayed out of sight
But I kept on dreaming of the city of lights

You looked at me softly
You took me in
You put me to bed
I dreamed that I loved you
I couldn't remember
All the bad times
All of the lies

I dreamed of a life where I wouldn't fight
Things were alright if I stayed out of sight
But I kept on dreaming of the city of lights
I kept on dreaming I could put up the fight

And you never believed in me
And we argued constantly
And you gave up your chance to see
All the beauty
And the Love
All the Beauty
And the love

SOLO

And you never believed in me
And we argued constantly
And you gave up your chance to see
All the beauty
And the Love
All the Beauty
And the love
(Repeat)

Dear Brother

Written By: Amber Lucille

"Dear Brother"

Dear brother I'm writing you a letter
but your so far away
I want to know that your ok
I want to know that you are safe

My brother if you're listening
I've thought a lot about this
I think you shoud come home
we want you to be near us

Dear brother I'm writing you a letter
but your so far away
I wish we could be closer
we could all be together

My brother if you're listening
I've thought a lot about this
I think you shoud come home
we want you to be near us
if I could change the past
it would be better to us
today is what we have
they tried their best to love us

Dear brother I'm writing you a letter
I'll keep this one forever
I'll try not to upset her
as she holds herself together

My brother if you're listening
I've thought a lot about this
I think you shoud come home
we want you to be near us
life goes by so fast
make the good things last
you turned into a man
but I remember when
you were just my brother Ben

Lemme

Written By: Amber Lucille

Let me give you all I know
Let me show you where to go
But give me time to make things right
Give me a sign you'll hold me tight

until I know
till' i grow

Let me give you all my love
Let me show you I've got enough
But give me time learn what's right
Give me a sign you'll hang on tight

until I know
till I grow

Oh baby
been trying lately
Please believe me
I'm really changing

Let me give you all of me
Let me show you we're meant to be
But give me time to make things right
Give me a sign you and I are tight

untill I know
till I grow

Oh baby
been trying lately
Please believe me
I'm really changing

Let me give you all I am
Let me show you I've got a chance
But give me time to realize
Give me a sign you'll be alright

until I know
till I grow

Oh baby
been trying lately
Please believe me
I'm really changing

Oh baby
been trying lately
Please believe me
I'm really changing

I'm a Person

Written By: Amber Lucille

Sittin' around watching life go by
Same old thing every night
This isn't how i want to live my life
I want to give back and make things right

I'm a person just like you
I get down and I feel it too
Rise above and see it through
Grace of God will make it true

I do what i want seems no one cares
I treat you bad and that's not fair
You should speak up, make me aware
Love like your is very rare

I'm a person just like you
I get down and I feel it too
Rise above and see it through
Grace of God will make it true

I started out without a chance
Grew up poor living on food stamps
My parents split and they had five kids
They tried their best, Mom did the rest

I'm a person just like you
I get down and I feel it too
Rise above and see it through
Grace of God will make it true

I'm a person just like you
I get down and I feel it too
Rise above and see it through
Grace of God will make it true

I'm a person
I'm a person
I'm a person
I'm a person

More or Less

Written By: Amber Lucille

Your looking for someway out of this town
Sooner or later take the long way around

Can you see the beauty around you
You've given up faith you once had
You've traded it for something less

Your searching for something you can't find
Never stopping to see the signs

Can you see the beauty around you
Will you believe the love inside you
You've given up faith you once had
You've traded it for something less
You forgot about it
Now you need it back
You need it back
You need it back

Can you see the beauty around you
Will you believe the love inside you
You've given up faith you once had
You've traded it for something less
You forgot about it now you need it back

That Love That Never Ends

Written By: Amber Lucille

"That Love that Never Ends"

Who am I without your love
What have I become
We survive under the gun
Leave it all and run
I can run

Who am I without your touch
What will I become
Can't believe I need you so much
Please let me run
I can run
I can run

I can see you again
Just like old time friends
And I can love you again
That love that never ends
That love that never ends

Who am I without enough
Where have I come from
Can't hold on to all of this stuff
Leave it all and run
What have I become
I can run
I can run

I can see you again
Just like long lost friends
And I can love you again
That love that never ends
And I can love you again
That love that never ends
That love that never ends
That love that never ends

Grateful

Written By: Amber Lucille

When I close my eyes
I envision
Happy times
It's my decision

And we all live
With a little confusion
And I had to give
You my confession

But along the way
You decided to stay
And I'm grateful
For you baby
In my life

When I said I do
I really meant it
If I didn't have you
I'd regret it

And you're always there
When I need you
You're my heart and soul
And I love you

But along the way
You decided to stay
And I'm grateful
For you baby
In my life

But along the way
You decided to stay
And I'm grateful
For you baby
In my life

And I'm grateful
For you baby
In my life
