Amber Open Skies is an indie rock/pop punk band that includes Coppell High School Seniors Chris Teel on guitar and vocals, Daniel Moomau on guitar and vocals, Ryan Williams on bass and Tyler Murray on drums. The band with its current members have been together for about two years and has played a number of local venues including, several First United Methodist Church Coffee Houses in which they won "Best Band" in 2009, Rock The Plaza, New Park Music Festival, Eisenbergs, the House of Blues, Relay for Life, a Coppell Lions Club fundraiser and opening for Christian rock band Ohio Avenue. The band was one of 50 bands in the country chosen as a semi-finalist in the School Jam USA 2009 Battle of the Bands competition and was one of 10 bands chosen to represent the Southwest Region of the country.
