Bio

Amber Williams and The Rocky Mountain Experience is brand new on the music scene and the love of music is driving their passion for being career musicians. Singer/songrwriter Amber Williams has been singing and performing since the age of four. Influenced by her families love of country music and 50's/60's rock n' roll, has made country music an easy choice of genre. By the age of fourteen she started competing in talent contests throughout Alberta. In 2002 she was recognized as the Big West Country Idol, In 2004 she was the Penhold Idol Winner. She has sang at the Ponoka Stampede Talent night three times. She just recently won the spot of Grande Winning Act for the Country Vocal Spotlight Competition, which is held in Edmonton just prior to the Canadian Finals Rodeo. On the Saturday evening performance Amber sang during the intermission in which she played her guitar and performed the original song she sang the night she won the competition.
The Rocky Mountain Experience brings a unique sound of old school country with a new age of country twists.
All the members in the band grew up in the Rocky Mountain House/Caroline area, in which they still reside.
From growing up on 50's/60's rock n' roll and old time country to being in a rock band, the Fay brothers have a new found passion for country music which brings a unique overall sound to the group.
Drummer Darcy Cech has gone from being a kid banging willow branches on an pot he stole from his Mom's kitchen, to spending all ours of the night perfecting intro's, endings, stops and starts for every song on the list.
Although new to the scene, it hasn't stopped The Rocky Mountain Experience from reaching high. They have already had sold out shows and opened for Gord Bamford.
