Ambria

Considering the dozens of artists and bands that seem to be exploding out of one area, it's normal to think it would be hard to pick out the few who fly above the rest. Rising out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Ambria is among the group of bands who make it easy to differentiate those who are willing to lead rather then follow. Combining elements of nearly every style of rock and such wide ranging influences into a live show that is sure to leave you in an overwhelming daze is just one of these four more better qualities as a band. The story begins in the basement of a drummer's house on Chatsworth Rd. where you'd find two cousin's jamming on hard rock guitar riffs with an off the wall echo from the delay in the distortion that meets the center of the natural drum beats that are laid down. It was just a matter of time before others with similar intentions found them and would add to the collection of talent already found inside those four walls. Now, alongside the riffs of the guitar and snaps of the snare you'll hear and feel every bass note as it hits you in the chest where your heart will already be pounding. All the while you'll find listeners singing the lyrics that are dressed around monumental melodies. Jump ahead 27 months and 150 shows later to today, where since those 'jamming' days they have not only grown as a band but have helped each other push their own limits and grow individually as musicians.
