Amelia Circle

Amelia Circle

We're loud, rock n' roll driven, mid twenties oriented and have a great time writing original tunes. We want to play as many places and for as many people as possible. We guarantee we have something that you desire!

Matthew Hassle (Guitar/Vox) and Justin Bass (Bass) moved to Seattle in late 2011 in pursuit of their passion to write music and form a band. Shawn Williams (Drummer) moved to Seattle when he was 11 years old. Shawn has played in many bands throughout the last few years in and around Seattle. Playing everything from Guitar, drums, and even singing. Through fates desire Matt's co-worker knew that he was looking for a drummer, just so happens that co-worker knew Shawn and ask him if he was interested in meeting Matt and Justin. Shawn had just started working with a group and was interested in at least meeting Matt & Justin. The three of them which are now known as "Amelia Circle" had their first jam in the basement of Shawn's house (at the time). We instantly felt a connection with each other. We all were able to acknowledge similar interests and influences in music. We quickly picked up conversation about; The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Pear Jam, Sound Garden, The Chilli Peppers, Sublime, Credence Clearwater, The Who, The Beattles; just to name a few. We all share a common interest in deriving our style from the great rock of the 60's and early 70's. At the same time throwing a modern essence into our sound with our own personal tastes as well. We live together as a band, we are great friends and feel that fate has set us apart from other bands. Amelia Circle was created by fate and we couldn't ask for a better opportunity than the one that lies before us now.
