Amena Brown

BandSpoken Word

Early on it was apparent that Amena Brown’s words had the power to excite, ignite and inspire. Writing poetry from the age of twelve, and blowing audiences away with her spoken word at seventeen, there was little doubt in her mind that the words swirling in her mind carved a path for her to follow!

Amena Brown is among the top spoken word artists out of Atlanta, Georgia. She is a poet, speaker, and journalist whose words excite, ignite and inspire! Whether in front of intimate audiences or sprawling with 20,000 plus, Amena has something to say that matters! Amena has performed for thousands all over the nation including: Rock the Desert, 500 Songs for Kids, Atlantis Music Conference, and 2008 National Poetry Slam Competition. She also has several spoken word ads on 97.1 JAMZ. As a part of a generation that is searching for the real and the genuine in an age of constant carbon copy, Amena is both regal and dramatic in her creative interpretation on the stage. She brings a fresh new vibe to spoken word that really helps students open their minds to the magnificent art. Her personality shines through her mere presence on stage and words in the mic!
