Biography

NATIONAL ACT AGGRESSIVE POWER POP/ROCK FASTLANE RECORDING ARTISTS

~Band Bio~ In the late spring of 2003 brothers Cliff and Christy Calabro joined forces with Joey Andriaccio creating a distinctive hard pop rock sound that has enticed audiences across the nation.

Originating in Hollywood, California, American Anthem hit the road with Poison front man Bret Michaels in the fall of 2003 to support his "Songs of Life" tour. The national tour introduced audiences to a "new sound" that would quickly gain the band acclaim and a multitude of fans.

"Fresh" and "innovative" are just some of the words used to describe the "Aggressive Pop " sound of the EP first released by American Anthem. THIS IS ONLY A SAMPLE OF WHAT IS YET TO COME!

Each member of the band has worked on a variety of projects in different facets of the music industry prior to coming together to form American Anthem.

Cliff and Christy have been working together all their lives, be it on projects of their own or lending their talents to other musicians in the studio and on
stage. Prior to American Anthem, the Calabro brothers found International praise and success in Black on Blond. After touring in the United States, Asia and in Europe, Black on Blond performed for the last time in January 2003. After a brief break, Cliff and Christy brainstormed beginning a new band and shortly thereafter, American Anthem was born.

With Cliff on lead vocals and guitar and Christy on lead guitar, all that was needed was a bassist and a drummer. A mutual friend had introduced Cliff to bassist Joey Andriaccio as he was putting the band together for Bret Michaels's solo tour. Joey was at the time wrapping things up with his long time band ELK and was doing studio work with Michael Jackson. They immediately clicked and began looking for a drummer.

With time running out before they were to leave on the road, Cliff called every ad for a drummer that fit the bill. "John Medina was the only one that called me back! Most of the guys I contacted didn't believe I was calling to offer them a national tour with Bret Michaels."

It turned out that John Medina was a good fit at the time. He has
since left the group to pursue his own musical direction and has been replaced by the talented, explosive and highly entertaining Lisa Rav.

Presently, American Anthem have returned to the studio to record the remaining several tracks to complete their debut full-length album which will be released on Fastlane Records in the Summer of 2006. The long awaited album will also include a vibrant version of the Beatles classic "Help!" which has quickly become a fan favorite.

Additionally, they have recorded a high octane version of Johnny Thunder's track "You Can't Put Your Arms Around A Memory" for the already critically acclaimed tribute to the New York Dolls entitled " Jetboys Of Babylon", which was released in 2005 by Fastlane Records.

Other projects are also in the works which will be culminated by the band hitting the road this summer to promote their album and bring the music back out to the rapidly growing legion of fans that are awaiting American Anthem's return to the stage.

"We want to bring our music and energy to our fans," says Christy, "we hope our music is perceived as energetic and uplifting because I think that is the essence of what rock and roll is."

Help

Written By: American Anthem/ Lennon/McCartney

When I was younger so much younger than today, I never needed anybody's help in any way.

Now that these days are gone I'm not so self assured, Now I find I've changed my mind and opened up the door.

Help me if you can I'm feeling down and I do appreciate your being round', Help me get my feet back on the ground won't you please, please help me...

Now that my life has changed in oh so many ways, my independence seems to vanish in the haze.

Every now and then I feel so insecure, I know that I just need you like I've never done before...

Help me if you can I'm feeling down and I do appreciate your being round', Help me get my feet back on the ground won't you please, please help me...

When I was younger so much younger than today, I never needed anybody's help in any way.

Now that these days are gone I'm not so self assured, Now I find I've changed my mind and opened up the door.

Help me if you can I'm feeling down and I do appreciate your being round', Help me get my feet back on the ground won't you please, please help me, help me, help me,
ooooh
