"Amanda B."

The film was well received by attendees and the question and answer period after the screening was insightful. By sharing your own personal stories about legal and illegal drug use, I felt the audience could easily relate to the questions you posed in the film. In addition, your persistence in getting top of the line interviews was very impressive, and appreciated by the audience. I want to thank you for taking the initiative to create this documentary that reveals a variety of opinions on the war on drugs and the corruption it has lead to in our government. Thank you for making our event at CSU a success.

Promoting Education NOT Incarceration

Every year hundreds of thousands of high school & college students get arrested for trying something that millions of educated, employed Americans admit to using regularly. In some states you can lose your job, be denied a university education, and go to jail for a small amount of marijuana.
Is marijuana a gateway to a life of drug addiction or has big business duped the public into believing this so they can protect their profits? What would happen to the big pharmaceutical, alcohol & tobacco companies if marijuana were legalized? The answer might surprise you. We all have been pummeled with a barrage of government propaganda - sponsored by the pharmaceutical, alcohol & tobacco companies. It is our duty to recognize the truth and help put our country back on track. Kevin Booth will explore the various scare campaigns used by the government to keep the public afraid of marijuana along with the various activists groups who have had the courage to fight.

Kevin Booth started out in the music business and has produced music videos, short films, full length documentary films, HBO specials, and comic DVDs & CDs.
Following the death of several family members to alcohol, cigarettes, and pharmaceuticals, Kevin decided to produce a feature-length documentary exploring Americas failed Drug War. The discovery that the government
classifies marijuana as being more dangerous than crack or crystal meth was the start of a four-year mission to sort the facts from the fiction and pick apart the paradoxes of Americas longest running war. Kevin has toured the country,
showing his 2 major films AMERICAN DRUG WAR, which was shown on Showtime and HOW WEED WON THE WEST at colleges and universities in the hope of sparking a debate where it is needed most.

Kevin Booth and his production company, Sacred Cow, pledge to make the audience think, while entertaining them at the same time.
