American Grass

American Grass

BandRockAcoustic

To make American Grass, you simply add a pint of Allmon Brothers in a blender, a handful of Dave Mathews, A dash of Leon Russell's home town spice (not too much), a few cubes of Coldplay for chill, and top it off with a splash of Pink Floyd for the brain. Mmmmm.... delicious.

Biography

AG has a loyal following through their performances all over Hollywood, and up and down the California coast. Songs are written by Jon Wadley (Singer/Guitarist) who's originally from Oklahoma, Taki (Bass Master T) is a frightfully skilled artist/musician out of Japan. Mike (Drummer) is kept around to attract girls, and ward off evil spirits.., Oh yeah, and he's got mad skills yo! Other great players join the band on the road to fill it out. To experience American Grass truly, is to see them live!

American Grass, like every other band, seek to conquer the world, and claim their rightful place at Rock's Alter.
However, there's one critical difference that seperates them from all the other idiots...

Their delicously nutritious breakfast cereals!

TICK'N AWAY

Written By: Wadley/Workman

Keep’n time, with something in your eyes, window pain
I can see, i can see
You and i, making love like spiders in the rain, i believe, i believe
you’re kill’n me

Widow white, make your web but keep me safe tonite
wrap me up, wrap me up
spin, spin around the hour glass
the truth is in the rhyme, the time
you’re not won, but i’m not done

Yeah, it’s tick’n away, tick’n away
it’s tick tock, tick’n away

Life runs by, flying on it’s way with no concern
not for me, not for me
if all i’ve got is one more little second left to burn now
stay with me, love and breathe

Yeah, it’s tick’n away, tick’n away
it’s tick tock, tick’n away

In the sunlight, as the water rushed away
i was left there, standing on the stone
this life’s unknown
I dreamed i turned the world away
i love you more than, yesterday

Yeah, it’s tick’n away, tick’n away
it’s tick tock, tick’n away

Yeah, it’s tick’n away, tick’n away
it’s tick tock, tick’n away

OUTSIDE THE STATION

Written By: Wadley/Workman

Night out, Break Down, the story of my life
girl sounds, i call out, she makes me feel alright
you only dream of skin like this, cant find a better kiss
this is my time, such is my crime

i was smokin’, and jokin’ with all my people
I was singin’, and drinkin’
Con mi Rasa’

This is a lonely situation with the girl outside the station
I promised id write her this song
This is a simple education, about the girl outside the station
I lost her, i lost me, she’s gone.

Red lights, blue lights, her eyes rainbows of pain
screamin’, im dreamin, i wish i had her yesterday
i was wrong just one more time
but i wont regret this nite
this is my time, such is my crime

i was smokin’, and jokin’ with all my people
I was singin’, and drinkin’
Con mi Rasa’

This is a lonely situation with the girl outside the station
I promised id write her this song
This is a simple education, about the girl outside the station
I lost her, i lost me, she’s gone.

This is a lonely situation with the girl outside the station
I promised id write her this song
This is a simple education, about the girl outside the station
I lost her, i lost me, she’s gone.

This is a lonely situation with the girl outside the station
I promisewd id write her this song
This is a simple education, bout the girl outside the station
I lost her, i lost me, she’s gone.

THE TREE

Written By: Wadley/Workman

Look, im a tree, are ya happy with me
have i been in your world for to long
have i been in your world for to long

Look, im a tree, dont ya climb up on me
im old, but im strong, and im leaving
im old, but im strong, and im leaving

Theres a good reason why, its my time to die
ive given all ive got, you made me into what im not
strip me bare, cut me down, and let me fall
cause we all return to earth after all

Look im a boat, ive learned how to float
its taken years but i think im sailing now
its taken years, but i know im sailing now

wait, theres the dock
i hear the tick of the clock
wood and steel just dont feel a common bond
and he can do what i cannot, so i guess im gone

Theres a good reason why, its my time to die
ive given all ive got, you made me into what im not
strip me bare, cut me down, and let me fall
cause we all return to earth
we all return to earth
we all return to earth
after all

Theres a good reason why, its my time to die
ive given all ive got, you made me into what im not
Oh, cut me down, and let me fall
cause we all return to earth
we all return to earth
we all return to earth
after all

THE RIGHT TIME

Written By: Wadley

i told the major
she's a rock star
i'm gonna make her
i play a mean guitar
don't push her to far
she'll run away from you
when it's the right time
she'll give it all to you

she likes to tell me this is not the right time yet, two or three more days from now, you will not believe your eyes
i'm taking off this disguise

i gotta get inside
she leaves me outside
she's got an attitude
leaving me so blue
two or three more days
is just to long to wait
i'm gonna go insane
this is her big game

she likes to tell me this is not the right time yet, two or three more days from now, you will not believe your eyes
i'm taking off this disguise

one moment, one minute
it's just not enough
one day, one week
it's just not enough
one year, one life
it's just not enough
for me

i'm just a planet
i'm circling round her sun
yeah she warms me up
makes me spin around round
i'd wait forever
but that's a long long time
im gonna stay strong
this makes a good song

she loves to tell me this is not the right time yet, two or three more days from now, you will not believe your eyes

two or three more days
two or three more days
two or three more days

she loves to tell me this is not the right time yet, two or three more days from now, you will not believe your eyes
