America's Next Great Star

America's Next Great Star is an innovative on-location reality television experience that gives students the opportunity to be a part of a campus event that is similar to the variety of national talent competitions on TV today. The shows producers are currently booking the nationwide, “Do you have what it takes” campus tour! America's Next Great Star is an unprecedented two-part on campus event with LIGHTS, CAMERAS and unforgettable programming ACTION!

PART ONE: Open Casting Call
The Production Staff of America's Next Great Star will hold an open casting call on your school’s campus. Students with all types of talents are encouraged to step in front of the TV cameras and show the Next Great Star producers if they've got what it takes to be an American Star. Singing, dancing, contortionists, jugglers, weird skills, musicians, magicians, poets and gymnasts are just some of the talents are producers are looking for. Each candidate will step in front of the camera, after completing a brief interview with the show’s casting director, the student will have two minutes to demonstrate his or her talent. The Next Great Star casting calls are a high-energy, buzz worthy, exciting on-location event...but that's just the beginning.

PART TWO: LIVE Show and TV Taping
From the casting call the America's Next Great Star producers in cooperation with the student activities staff will select 6 to 8 finalists to compete in the America's Next Great Star live stage show and TV pilot taping! The 90 minute stage show is performed "LOOK LIVE" and filmed by a professional video production crew. The show is run and appears just as you would see a reality competition on TV. An incredible light show, truss, giant video wall displaying multiple LIVE cameras, local judges, a professional host, student appropriate commercials, special effects and LIVE text voting from the audience create this amazing production.

Radio personality, and professional entertainer, Joshua S. Walker, hosts the America’s Next Great Star LIVE stage show. After the talent has had the opportunity to step into the spotlight the campus judges will select the final three that will advance to the next round of the competition. After the final three are announced it’s up to the audience to determine the winner of their campus’ show. Using their cell phones the audience messages their vote to the America’s Next Great Star live text voting system powered by Songwhale. The winner of each campus’ show receives a CASH PRIZE of $500 and will have their video sent to entertainment industry professionals in Nashville, Los Angeles and New York City!

For the America’s Next Great Star show, it's not uncommon to have a "celebrity" drop by the show as well, some notables include MTV Real World personality Johnny Bananas, country music artist Vanessa Campagna and from America's Best Dance Crew on MTV, Status Quo!

The production staff of America’s Next Great Star begin working with your campus several weeks before their arrival to assist with marketing materials, custom promotional videos for your campus and website, as well as discuss all of the technical and logistical aspects of the show and it’s time on your campus.
