Ametai

Born in Detroit, Michigan the vocalist known as Ametai moved with his mother to Israel at the age of two. Looking bac k on this move, Ametai describes the experience as “A unique opportunity to experience music from Europe as well as American, Spanish and Middle Eastern music."

At two years of age he picked out an Al Green album for his birthday. After that first spark of his appreciation for music at age two, Ametai has voyaged through the world studying his craft while growing his admiration for the many cultural sounds from across the globe. He has even played along side known Mexican music influences Luis Miguel and Mana.

Ametai’s musical taste was blossomed when he heard The Smiths. “From the moment I heard Morrissey’s voice it changed my life.” says the vocalist. A purist when it comes to his singing ability, Ametai has never taken a voice lesson. Influenced by Bob Dylan, Jim Hendrix, Michael Jackson, and Ice-Cube, his sound is reminiscent of Lenny Kravitz with more of an edge.

Ametai had spent some time in Key West, Florida recording with producer Francois Gehin. However, it wasn’t Florida that sparked Ametai’s creative juices. The singer moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and indulged himself in writing. Composing over sixty songs, Ametai connected with producer Vincent Castaldo. Castaldo and Ametai are currently working on his first EP.

At the present time, this promising musician has also commenced a professional working relationship with famed publicist, Tanya Vece.
Ametai and Vece have inked a publicity deal announcing his venture onto the Las Vegas’ music scene.

Ametai has a unique sound. His diversity as a pop artist also appeals to fans of house and trans music. His writing style is distinctive to that of a true artist.

Ametai’s goal is to own his own label and write music for different entertainers. His creative style and word placement makes Ametai a precious commodity to those in show business who require scoring for films, jingles for television and radio spots, as well as artists in need of intense lyrics.
