Amethyst

The band Amethyst is from Belgrade Serbia. The band members currently are Mira Nikolic who is the lead singer and Uros Nikolic who plays guitar, keyboards and sings. The band exists for more than 10 years in different setups and made a lot of songs since, including two albums. The “Aperture for light” album is made in 2011-2012 and presents a combination of styles and influences. Styles vary from pop, rock and ambient to electronic, even techno sounds. Influences, to name a few, are Mike Oldfield, Peter Gabriel, Dream Theater, many 80’s artists and bands and, of course, a bunch of hard rock and metal bands. This music has depth and meaning, but all that in a pop song form. You can remember these songs after first hearing, but you can also listen to them many times discovering the world they bring to you.
