ambiTion

Raised and born off the streets of Newark, New Jersey, Ambition always hustled. Whether it was selling his CD's or selling something you’re not supposed to be selling, whatever that means lol. I grew up in a house with three brothers, one sister, and my parents were immigrants from Brazil. I didn't have the good life, but I couldn't complain either because it was always food on the table. My father was a hard worker, but you know how it goes, mother working hard, and father was working hard. They’re making enough money to pay the bills, and buy you two sneakers for the year. But I always wanted more, so I got caught up at a young age with an addiction to fast money. Instead of waiting for Christmas or my birthday for sneakers, I had the choice to go buy whatever I wanted when I wanted. So you know how that story goes, making fast money makes locked up money. I came home and kept doing the same thing over and over again. But in that stupid time of my life I was falling in love with something else. My sister had a boyfriend who was a producer so you know I was young, he had a studio, and you think he is probably one of those important people seen on the Box, BET, or MTV. So every time he came to see my sister I had a new verse for him until he finally took me to the studio and I laid my first track. And since he noticed I had a drive for music he just gave me the name Ambition and it stuck with me ever since. I knew it was a long name but what could I do, you don't ever name yourself. When you’re born your mother names you and when u spit, your homies name you. But anyway that's how my music career started, well at least that's when I thought it started lol. So as I got a little older, I decided to build my own studio in my mother’s basement because I got in a little trouble and couldn't leave the house. I started recording and I probably did a track with about a hundred people, you know those tracks when 10 gang bang one beat, you know it was fun. But then I realized that people liked the tracks that I was on more than other tracks. So I dropped my first joint which was called O.N.P (Order and Progress) which was the name of our rap crew. I sold about 1,000 copies of that CD, thought I was the man, and chilled because I swore that was enough to attract a record deal. You know young, dumb, and stuff like that, but then I started to notice that it was not enough. I decided to drop a self-titled mix tape named “Ambition”, now I’m a little older, and wiser. I wanted more than sneakers, clothes, and pussy, now I need a car, money, and a house. I mean I was tired of getting harassed by the cops for selling sheet rock lol. So I went hard with that mix tape, I mean just as hard as I did with the sheet rock lol and after the hard work I sold about 15,000 mix tapes. It gave me a buzz in the hood you I’m like the prince of Jersey, if I was a little older I would be the king lol. I sold 10,000 alone in Newark, New Jersey, the other 5,000 was spread around from cities like Philadelphia, Scranton, Elizabeth, Jersey City, Paterson, New York, Brooklyn, Queens, and other cities and towns I can’t remember. So now I'm working on my new project dropping soon it’s my hood album it’s going to be a classic. I got people coming up to me that heard a few songs and there going crazy for it. I mean 99% of my day to day conversation is about when my new CD is dropping but that's a little about me..... nah mean. Like I’m going to be one of those rappers you never get tired of you know. Like the world is going to see a lot of me through the years to come............................................
