Bio

Since the age of two years old Adrian has shown his love for music.  Of course this is before he could keep time, or hold a note quite as long, his happiness came from the music his grandmother would play around the house. The likes of Michael Jackson, Nat King Cole, Marvin Gaye, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, James Brown, Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder would fill the air in which his subconscious mind soaks in the genius of these legends all the while.

His first solo performance came at the tender age of 5 years old. Throughout Elementary School the talent shows he entered would prove to shape and create and help grow.  His teen years came with numerous talent shows including winning his High School’s talent show overall, Dyess Air Force Base’s NCO club annual talent search, to opening up for The Gatlin Brothers his Senior year in high school.

With bigger aspirations, Adrian made a move with his family to Austin, TX.  That wove would prove to be the best investment into his musical career.  No more than a year after moving to Austin, a small unknown reality show comes to Dallas, TX later known as ‘American Idol’. The first go around went well with much praise from the judges, he ultimately was not chosen to go to Hollywood.  He was encouraged by the judges to return the following year and bring his a-game.

Adrian went back to the drawing board for the next round of auditions, this time, would be held in Austin, TX.   With vocal lessons, a stronger stage presence and a new belief in the talent he had to offer, it was time. Season 2 of American Idol brought out 10,000 people to try out for the talent contest in central Texas.  Adrian was one among a mere 30 contestants that qualified for HOLLYWOOD, making the American Idol Top 100 of the second season. Four days in the Glendale, CA, a room next to Clay Aiken, and three episodes later, out of 50,000 people trying out that year, Adrian made the top 100.

Adrian would return to Austin in search of his next break, landing a gig with a top cover-band in central Texas called ‘Sauce the Band’.  Traveling internationally, a write up in Texas monthly, and entertaining throughout with ‘Sauce’.  Corporate parties, weddings, and private galas pepper his resume.

In 2012, he would work with a producer to make his original ideas come together.  While substituting at a local high school, he would spend nights writing, recording, and preparing to release his first full album.  ‘Relations’ would become a five song release on I-tunes, a preview of the album to come.  Three years later, 20 years of entertaining, and losing his grandmother to cancer, Adrian feels it is time to shock the world by putting together a band called am-Nite!~APB.  This band along with his vocal talent brings a prolific sound.

On the biggest stage in the world, SXSW, Adrian Martell aka am-Nite! will finally be #1.
