Among Your Many Friends

Among Your Many Friends love to play slow songs that get fast and quiet songs that get loud. They love to sing to the audience and they love when the audience sings to them. Their music is urgent but brooding, constantly building but constantly engaging.

Among Your Many Friends began in the Fall of 2010 following the indefinite hiatus of principle songwriter Tim Beeler's previous creative endeavor, The Crown Vandals, who played alongside some of Montreal's most endearing and inventive musicians such as Sean Nicholas Savage, Indiensoci, The Belle Game, amongst other excellent artists. They played their first official show in last year's Pop Montreal under their original name Count Us Among Your Many Friends, playing with one of their favorite Toronto musicians, Doldrums. Since then they've played on CKUT, and numerous shows, including some very exciting house shows, with some other bands they love, including most recently opening for Titus Andronicus in Boston, MA. They've spent their time since writing songs and perfecting them. This summer they are excited to get back to playing shows and are in the process of continuing to record for their debut physical release, set to come out late in 2011.
