Bio

If you ask Amon what he’s done lately, he’ll tell you he’s constantly creating beats and recording songs over his own proudutcion daily. As someone who works consistently to release content, he’s done an impressive job of releasing 52 songs on a weekly basis that began in late summer of 2016. Not only was Amon recognized by countless music sites and blogs for his courageous effort to provide music weekly, one of his tracks, “Lately,” received outstanding recognition from the masses. When he initially uploaded the song onto SoundCloud, it quickly gained popularity and was favorited by many listeners. But as soon he expanded streaming sites and placed the song onto Spotify, streams shot through the roof. Finding its way onto large followed playlists, “Lately” began to trend on Spotify daily. The single was number 1 Canada’s Trending Songs, amongst the top 10 for the US and also grasped international stardom on the global playlist. With more than 320,000 organic streams, “Lately” connects to listeners on a highly personal level, relating to many individuals who struggle to perfect their creative endeavors but have to keep up with their daily hustle to survive life.

Born in San Diego, CA, Amon’s first love was skateboarding. However, when he injured his foot as a teenager, he was immobile and couldn’t skate. Trying to figure out a cure to rid his boredom, he soon found a new fascination of recording music. He released a few songs for fun as a late teenager and received praise. But it wasn’t until he moved to Atlanta temporarily to attend Moorehouse College that he focused to become a performer. Performing at concerts at surrounding schools such as Clark Atlanta and festivals such as AC3 Festival, his fanbase grew from small to bigger. Once Amon graduated from Morehouse College in 2015, he returned to his hometown in SD and decided to be based in Southern California. Since his return, Amon has gained rendered tremendous attention not only in SD but Los Angeles as well. Fans and music critics have noted his music speaks to them on a consciously level as Amon raps about every life and struggles of pursuing creative paths and hating day jobs, to juggling relationships but trying to be independent and supporting oneself.

In the past year since he released tracks weekly, Amon is looking for innovative ways to feed his fans and digest explorative content. With a video series of his everyday life of making music and the journey to stardom, Amon wants people to know he’s an optimistic hustler who is willing do what it takes to fufill his dream. Amon has a plethora of many other small talents but makes a vallient effort to remain focused on his music first because that is what he loves the most.
