A Mourning After

A Mourning After

We are a heavy metal band that incorporates everything from technical hamonies and solos to catchy, anthemic choruses. Heavy yet melodic, edgy yet marketable, fresh but not unfamiliar.

A Mourning After formed when long time friends Eric Moore(rhythm guitar/vocals) and Mark Sells(lead guitar)found Drummer Chris Vasquez in June 2008. The 3 members clicked instantly and began writing material while searching for a bassist to complete the line up. The search for a bassist finally ended in november 2008 when low ender Bob Thompson joined the band. A Mourning After's influences range from Metallica, Megadeth, and Pantera to Breaking Benjamin,Three Days Grace, and Korn. All of those influences can be heard in the band's songs which range from the melodic rock ballad " The end of august" to the anthemic "Everybody Dies", then into a harmonized metal-core thrashing in "A Mourning After"
