One day, when I was 5, I was listening to the Vivaldi tape in the "Beethoven Lives Upstairs" series in the car. I told my mom I wanted to play the violin, and she said I had to learn piano first. Then she said my sister was starting piano lessons(she had no idea), and if the teacher thought I was old enough I could too. Piano has been wonderful for my theory and aural skills, but I've only just started learning violin as a supplement to my B.A. in Music Ed. I've been playing bass for 10 years now... oh, how time flies when you're 22.
