It’s every suburban bands dream to sign a deal with a major label, be flown to the USA for showcases, release an ARIA nominated gold record with a top ten single, and tour the world. Amy Meredith has experienced all of this and more since their inception six years ago.

From shaping their sound in a rehearsal room in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire to industry showcases in Hollywood, all before the synth-rock act even had half a dozen songs to their name, their rapid rise has been paralleled by a sharp learning curve. And if there’s any truth in the old adage that the journey is always half the fun, then Amy Meredith have one hell of a ride ahead of them.

Amy Meredith released their debut album ‘Restless’ through Sony in 2010. While they have grown their sound into synthy melodic rock with new wave sensibilities, complete with hooky lyrics and great hair, they still retain their skater kid mentality, which comes through in their blatant love of what they do. The album spawned singles ‘Faded White Dress’ and ‘Lying’ – the latter a platinum selling top ten single.

2012 will see the release of their sophomore release and subsequent national Australian tour.
