Bio

Amy emerged onto the Atlanta music circuit in 1999 when she was chosen as a finalist in the Lilith Fair Talent Search. A New Hampshire native and student of music since age six, Amy graduated Magna Cum Laude from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music in 2000 and co-wrote / co-produced her 2002 self-released debut album ‘playing field’ (under maiden name Amy Palys) with the help of guitarist & co-writer Jason Christian and engineer & co-producer Mark Rains.

In 2008 Amy returned with a new sound and new name as she disclosed the next phase of her life as Amy Zuspan on her second album ‘The Same Way’: a combination of groove, indie-pop, and alternative in a bold collection of playful melodies and candid lyrics.

Amy has performed throughout the Southeast at such venues as Eddie’s Attic, Smith’s Olde Bar, Hard Rock Café Atlanta, Chukkar Farm Ampitheatre, 40 Watt, Tasty World, Velvet Lounge, and Biltmore Estates with bands including Limelight, Atlanta Beat, US Beat, Tevyeh, the Alan Knieter Orchestra, Steve & Amy Acoustic Duo and with the Amy Zuspan Band. She has also taken the stage at the Fox Theatre in Juke as a Tap dancer and as a supporting actor in productions of Heaven Can Wait, Funny Money, and Steppin’ Out at the Kudzu Playhouse, Polk Street Playhouse, and Center Stage North respectively.

In 2010, Amy started Damsel Productions (501c3 pending): an organization whose aim is to provide an outlet for Atlanta based Female Independent Artist to perform music showcases and raise money for local charities – specifically those that help other Women in need. The Premiere show was held on Oct. 14th, 2010 at Smith’s Olde Bar and yielded $1,068.24 for the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women & Children.
