Analog Drift

Analog Drift

BandRockFunk

Analog Drift is a fusion of Jazz, Metal, Rock, Funk, and Hip-Hop. The music is often driven by bass, not by guitar. We're original while still creating a groove that can make people want to tap their feet and hum along. Tired of one-trick-pony type bands? Try us out instead!

Biography

Analog Drift is a 3 member Indie Rock/Funk/Jazz band in the Halifax, Nova Scotia Area. Members range from late twenties to early thirties in age. We're newly formed, and are starting to get out on the scene.

Our musical style is a bit wacked - We have some very different influences and playing styles. You'll need to listen to more than a few songs to begin to understand what we're trying to do. We do have a 'sound' but you won't be able to figure it out from 5 songs.

Chris is the primary song writer. His top "classic" band influences would be Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Metallica, Pink Floyd, and Fleetwood Mac. Mix those up, freshen the sound with some originality, add in some Hip-hop and Jazz, and you have the beginnings of a definition of Analog Drift's sound.

Set List

All material is original, and we can play for up to 2 hours depending on the requirements of the gig, and the format. Many of our songs lend themselves to longer jam-out formats, or we can keep them raido-friendly and under 5 min.

We have a wide range of musical sounds - We can go hard or we can go soft. If we're required to perform only a certain type of music, our setlists are shorter - 45 min or an hour.
