All of ANANTA's music uses the sounds of organic ancient instruments mixed with new digitally synthesized sounds to give the listener an expansive listening experience. This mixture is steeped with purely raw passion giving the listener a truly transcendent journey from start to finish!

Bio

ANANTA-Acoustic and Electric Violinist, Vocalist, Cellist,--has practiced the meditation of music for 29 of her 35 years of life. In 2002, Ananta started 2 music programs at Napa Valley & Woodland Star Charter Schools in Napa & Sonoma, CA. She also started a music program internationally for children in Dehradun, India with CED International. Ananta frequents the San Francisco Bay Area and West Coast music scenes as a solo artist with various bands and artists such as Jaya Lakshmi, Geoffrey Gordon, Chris Bramble, Gina Marie Lomonaco, Daniel Paul, Manose, Andy Graham, Joanne Rand, Mystic Family Circus, Land of the Blind, Hoytus Rolen, The Spiral Mystics and others. She can be spotted flittering about various festival stages, yoga studios, cafes and street corners throughout the world! Ananta's most recently completed projects: featured violin soloist on Jaya Lakshmi's 'Sublime' album, 2008 Sequoia Records; violin on Swami Vishwananda's 'Love Beyond Words 2' album, 2008 Geoffrey Gordon; violin, electric violin & cello on Hoytus Rolen's album 'Hoytus', 2008 Jane Clark. Finally, Ananta co-produced her own album 'Groove Sessions' featuring her own mixed-beats, electric violin, violin & cello, 2008 Jane Clark. ANANTA's influences originate from a classically based foundation with extensive exposure to R&B, Soul, Funk, Alternative Rock, Ambient Trance, Indian Classical and Middle Eastern giving her the fluidity and agility to be comfortable performing any genre of music. Her favourite? Anything good enough to make her wiggle!
