Anaquim

Anaquim is a Portuguese quintet from Coimbra officially born in 2007, although
their music started as soon as mankind plucked a sound and muttered a word.
Built of pieces as different as Portuguese popular music, Balkan Gypsy Music, French waltzes,
Jazz manouche, Country or Dixie, they share with their public the continuous process of human discovery
when looking inside and out. Their debut album, As Vidas dos Outros (The lives of others),
releasead in march of 2010, is a light-hearted yet insightful and twisted look into the contemporary society
and reached the Top 30 in its first week. Jos Rebola, Pedro Ferreira, Luis Duarte, Filipe Ferreira and Joo Santiago
take us in a Portuguese-spoken journey throughout human behaviour, with springs in their feet and party on their hearts.
