Anasia

With the ambition of a hustler, and the spirit of a shining star, this multi-talented rapper/singer/dancer is destined to become one of the most successful recording artists of all time. Anasia was born and raised in Berkeley, California to a Haitian father and a Japanese mother. At the age of four, Anasia knew that she wanted to become a performer, but was never encouraged by her family or peers to pursue her dream. Instead, she had a very strict upbringing and spent most of her childhood and teen years studying and working at her parent’s clothing store. However, during her leisure time Anasia expressed her passion for music by participating in singing groups and taking Hip-Hop and Afro-Haitian dance and choreography classes in high school. At the age of seventeen, Anasia was admitted to UCLA and relocated to Los Angeles. Influenced by her parents, she was initially a pre-med student. But, after her first year of college, she realized that she was not happy in this field and knew that her heart was in arts and entertainment. She then interned at a talent agency, public relations firm, and Island/Def Jam Records. Interning was a good foundation and taught her the ground rules of the business, but she knew that she needed experience in front of the camera as well. After graduating from UCLA with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology, Anasia succeeded in being featured in various movies, music videos, television shows, and commercials, which enabled her to become a Screen Actor’s Guild Member. While working on the set, she met other aspiring artists with whom she easily befriended. She soon after began rapping and collaborated with many other local rap artists. Today, Anasia is an example of the breadth of her endeavors and experiences. She has uniquely cultivated her own style: edgy, introspective, exotic, and diverse. With her well versed poetic lyricism, flawless delivery, and undeniable talent, Anasia truly stands in a class of her own.
