Bio
ANDERS WIHK
Background:
Anders grew up in the countryside in the west part of Sweden, spending as much time as possible at the piano. At age fifteen he appeared with the Swedish celebrity boogie-woogie phenomenon Charlie Norman and the two Swedish jazz legends Arne Domnérus and Bengt Hallberg.
At age seventeen he began his studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Ma. USA. Not only is Berklee known for its outstanding teaching methods, the teachers are also top level musicians in American music industry. Familiar names like Gary Burton, Ray Santisi and John LaPorta were just a few of Anders teachers at Berklee where he majored in performance to further develop his keyboard skills.
Work
Since 1989 he and the singer Ms Lena Maria Klingvall started touring around churches in Sweden. Their work together grew quickly. The two has made two concert tours to USA and over 30 concert tours to Japan.
He has produced and arranged their nine CD productions as well as composed many of the songs. He has had the opportunity to work with musicians like Alex Acuña, Larry Carlton, the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and Tokyo City Orchestra.

Jazz
Anders jazz trio has performed on jazz festivals in Sweden, Holland and on several Lena Maria-tours to Japan. The trio appears on many of the CDs as well. Anders has made two tours in Japan with the guitar player Tom Kanematsu. They have also recorded a CD accompanied by Anders Wihk trio.
Solo
Anders wide experience both in music genres and in the world melts together in his solo concept Jazz Surprise. He has been touring around Sweden solo since 2004.
A TV-recording on DVD is available of Jazz Surprise.
From Korea he got a request to make a soothing piano-CD with well known hymns and songs. The CD Amazing Roads Piano for dining and driving is released in Sweden, Korea, Japan and Singapore.
Trio
In his upcoming album of jazzy arrangemants of ABBA-songs Anders is accompanied by Svante Henryson on bass and Steve Gadd on drums. The producer is the ABBA expert himself - Bernard Löhr. Release is planned in September. Listen to the Trio Demo-medley from the album.
