Andrea Gal

Andrea Gal is a musical triple threat as an accomplished vocalist, talented pianist and first-class songwriter. Weave these impressive talents with her charismatic and engaging personality and you have a shimmering star arising.

Andrea's mixture of adult contemporary and soul music styles, blended with chocolaty vocals give her the ability to lure people of all different ages and styles into her music.  She sings with such a depth of passion that melodies grasp at your heart as she graces you with her breathtaking, richly unique voice.

In 2004, Andrea reached the Top 48 out of 10,000 competitors in Canadian Idol, the popular reality television show. Comments from the judges said Andrea's voice was "inspiring" and resembled the "gorgeous tone and quality of a saxophone."

In the inaugural 2003 Brantford Idol Andrea was crowned the “Brantford Idol” after she won the adult category.  Andrea and her sister Christine won the televised youth talent search for the London area's Canadian Association of Fairs and Exhibitions in 1998, after competing with over 500 acts. They were then given the honour to compete at the 1999 national competition in Quebec City.  In May of 2013, Andrea won a competition which lead her to sing at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in front of a 14,000-person audience.

The foundation for these impressive wins and her relaxed stage presence started when Andrea was five years old. Her parents enrolled her in piano lessons and was singing on stage at a church coffee house on Sunday nights.

Andrea started performing for larger audiences from the age of eight and since then venues such as weddings, clients’ homes, church functions, festivals, halls, fundraisers and charities have all been graced by her captivating voice and exquisite performances.

Andrea recorded a complete, original spiritual album in 2006, and a year later released her follow-up album titled “the key of me”.  Her hit single “Like You” began airplay on the radio early 2007, and her Christmas song, “Share the Love” joined the stations in 2009 and continues to play each Christmas season. 

Andrea is excited to present a brand new album: a six-song EP that was produced, recorded, and mixed by the best in the industry.  The songs tell the story of love, heartbreak, loss, redemption, and memories.  Her EP was released November 2015, and is now available on iTunes for download, with physical CDs available for purchase on her website. 

Now, Andrea can be seen singing and playing piano (sometimes solo, and other times with a full band behind her) at elegant events such as charities, corporate events, private parties and shows throughout the country.
