When one’s musical influences consist of Beyonce, Alicia Keys, and Taylor Swift, it only makes sense that the influence should be reflected in their artistry. For 15 year old singer/songwriter Andrea LeClaire, there is no surprise why people tend to respect her talent before realizing her actual age.
Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, Andrea was never a stranger to the limelight. She earned the lead role in various school productions, while taking part in cheerleading and performing songs at various hometown events. Along with performances, Andrea also had a love for playing instruments, so she dedicated her time to learning how to play the piano and guitar. When she isn’t practicing an instrument, learning new choreography, or recording in the studio, Andrea is probably engaged in one of her favorite youthful hobbies: sketching and painting pictures. There is never a moment that passes where Andrea isn’t honing her artistic abilities, unless she’s dedicating time to her academics.
Under the management of Boston’s Surefire Music Group (Ne-Yo, Jordan Knight, Nickelodeon, Boston Symphony Orchestra, VH1, and MTV), Andrea is currently in the studio developing a musical catalogue which rivals many well known artists who may exceed her age, but also parallel her in talent. Making her mark within the music industry, Andrea has also captured the attention of Grammy award winning audio engineer Ken Lewis (Kanye West, Jay-Z, etc). While currently working on various songwriting projects with Ken, Andrea has also co-written a single for Devon Barley, a semifinalist on NBC’s “The Voice.”, wrote the theme song to Standup 2011(sponsored by McDonalds), and collaborated with Issa Pointer(of the legendary Pointer Sisters).
Andrea is currently being courted by numerous record labels and consumer goods companies. She is currently hard at work both in the recording studio preparing for the official release of her project and a number of upcoming performances.
