Bio

A week before Andrea Orlen’s father died he looked her in the eye and said,
“We’re a team kid..I want to hear you say it. Repeat after me. We are a Team.. TEAM STANDIE"
(which is a combination of "Stan", her father’s name and "Andie", the nickname he called her)

After her father passed away a week later, Andrea thought it only fitting that she release her new Gary Louris (of The Jayhawks) produced EP under the moniker, TEAM STANDIE.

Andrea Orlen started at the wee young age of 16 when her parents would allow her to ride the train downtown NYC on Tuesday nights and play her weekly acoustic sets at "The Speakeasy" on Macdougal street.
Eventually she decided to make like Bob Dylan and went "Electric" forming her first band "Get Outta Town" who released two LP's on the bands own label while maintaining a prominent NYC presence as they gigged around town.
Next came "Venus Envy" who were darlings of the NYC club scene while gracing some of NYC's finest stages including legendary CBGB's on a semi regular basis. In addition to a dedicated NYC following, the band released their 4 song Double 7'' vinyl which caught the attention of esteemed Matador and Interscope records.
Eventually the band went their separate ways and Andrea went back into the studio to start working on her first solo record with GRAMMY AWARD WINNING PRODUCER, LARRY MITCHELL behind the board.
Her second solo record was produced by Mr. GARY LOURIS of THE JAYHAWKS who has been quoted as saying:
"Andrea has written songs I wish I would have written myself, which coming from me is the highest form of compliment".
While her current Louris produced release looks for a home, Andrea continues to illuminate stages across America with her infectious blend of Twang and melody delivered through her own style of clever storytelling.
You'll find yourself singing along loudly as her tunes will go straight from your ears, into your head, and then straight to your heart for the rest of your Rock N Roll days.
