Lyrics

Before I Fold

Written By: Andrea Simms-Karp

Before I Fold

Won’t you come down
See me sometime
Before I fold
And change my mind
You lift me up
You never put me down
Won’t you come round

It’s been a long time
Since somebody like you
Tried to be
Something more
To somebody like me
Since somebody like you
Tried to be
Something more
To somebody like me

I picture your hands reaching
I picture your legs traveling
And I know your voice
Better than
I might have guessed
When this began

It’s been a long time
Since somebody like you
Wanted to be
Hand in hand
With somebody like me
Since somebody like you
Wanted to be
Heart to heart
With somebody like me

Real Fine Friend

Written By: Andrea Simms-Karp

Real Fine Friend

It’s a long way to go without a map
But if you’ve got time to kill
You could get lost up in these streets
Until you notice my light
Recognize my front porch and stay the night

There’s no shame in giving in
No shame in giving up sometime
No shame in our love

It’s a long way to run in the rain
On a summer night that feels like fall
I feel nothing at all
But I’m trying hard
I know you’ll pull in on a Greyhound bus
And you’ll steal my heart

There’s no shame in giving in
No shame in giving up sometime
No shame in our love

But if your bus won’t come
I may or may not stay here
I’ve still got a one-way pass on the next trip out of town
To disappear
And if your bus won’t come
I may just not see you again
You’ve been a real fine lover
You’ve been a real fine friend
A real fine friend
