About Andre Archat
Versatility, talent, and anointing, is the make up of singer/rapper/songwriter-Minister Andre Archat aka Dre 27. While comparisons are already flying, Dre 27 believes he simply has answered the call to fulfill what is termed as The Great Commission. "The gospel is quite the love story, and I just find it too good not to tell everDONOTBLOCKOURADSybody." The son of Jamaican parents, Dre 27 grew up in a strict Pentecostal home. "I always had ideas of doing different things with the music I heard, but for some reason I was too "worldly' or too this or that." The influences that he would secretly listen to can be heard throughout his music. "I've been influenced by everybody from Bob Marley and Stevie Wonder, to Boyz II Men and LL cool J." It is the combination of these that are used in the arsenal to deliver the word of God. Though Dre electrifies audiences young and old, entertainment is far from his focus. "This goes beyond getting on stage and doing songs, when you hear my songs, I want you to hear hope, faith, and love, because what you will hear is the Word." As if two worlds collided, Dre 27 offers a gritty, hardcore Hip Hop flow that would be welcomed on any street, then with the same conviction delivers smooth R&B flavored vocals that pleases that palette of old school and new school alike. An ordained minister, Dre 27 spends as much time preaching the Word, as he does with music, but whatever the platform one thing is certain its all about Jesus. Currently independent, Dre 27 is currently working on his first solo release. Meanwhile off to a great start, Dre has already been featured both on television, and radio, and has shared the stage with several big names and the list keeps getting longer. The future is bright for this young minister, so stay tuned.
