Andres Sierra

Andres Sierra (born June 11, 1991) is a highly talented Toronto based Electro-pop Singer, Songwriter, Actor and Dancer. Born in Toronto to Colombian immigrant parents, Andres displayed an interest in music at a very young age and was determined to fulfill his dream of becoming an International Pop Recording Artist.

Coming from a highly musical family, Andres’s father took notice of his son’s natural musical abilities and enrolled him in professional vocal and piano lessons at the age of six at the prestigious Royal Conservatory School of Music. Aside from his technical training, he has attended some of the most recognized performing art schools in Canada. Graduating at the top of his class from Carter Cardinal Academy of the Arts led Andres to Sheridan College where he graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Musical Theater and was awarded the program’s Valedictorian honor. His technical training coupled with his academic achievements has been instrumental in furthering his natural talent and passion in the pursuit of a career in music.

Andres’s musical influences include Calvin Harris, Bjork, Madonna, Robyn and The Pet Shop Boys. Andres was first attracted to electronic dance music in his early teens. Andres states, “My singing style fuses many different musical elements of some of the greatest dance-pop artist. So being influenced by great musicians has allowed me to take different qualities and create a unique, smooth sound unlike any other”.

To add to his accomplishments Andres was a Semi-Finalist on the Much Music Coca-Cola Contest in May of 2012, making it to the top 10 out of thousands of talented contestants across Canada. Because of this exposure and other opportunities he has been offered, Andres is currently collaborating with top music producers and songwriters from Canada, London, and France and has been fortunate to have major record labels approached him with opportunities to further his career.

Andres is set to begin his studio project for his debut album tentatively called “Masquerade”. The album will be young, fun and energetic, combining edgy and melodic dance-pop elements to satisfy the ears of all dance music lovers. Andre’s states “My debut album will be a huge and exciting milestone for me. I have always known that continuous hard work in perfecting my talent and good music would get me closer to being an active contributor to the world of great music.’ Andres’ lead single will be “Over the Edge” and is sure to be a radio and club hit. Watch out for Andres, as he is a force to reckon with.
