Still working on that hot first release.

Andrew Ebding is a jazz drummer based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Growing up in a city heavily influenced in jazz, Andrew began his classical training in percussion at a young age and began to pursue jazz drumming with a Jazz Studies bachelor’s degree at the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music. In the two years that Andrew has been at the Conservatory, he has actively performed in three Jazz combos including the Zach Granger Jazz Combo, Ben Tweedt Jazz Combo, and Tim Fogarty’s “Birth of the Cool” jazz combo. Andrew plans to record a few tracks with Tim Fogarty’s combo in the first quarter of 2019.

Spending his college summers attending pop music festivals such as Bonnaroo, Bunbury, and Lollapalooza, Andrew started to find a passion for popular music as well. As a result, Andrew spent time outside of class playing drums in a pop band with his close friends called Campus Rex. In almost a year of playing together, the band has played many shows around the Cincinnati area, and has even taken themselves out of town to Columbus, Athens, and Indianapolis. They released their single “Never Do Anything” in June of 2018, and released their debut EP “Wendy Peffercorn Saved My Life” in January 2019, reaching 13,000 streams and 1,200 monthly listeners in the first month of its release.

Aside from playing drums, Andrew has sought to make himself a versatile musician by learning both piano and guitar, as well as a fair amount of digital music production. With a year of music composition and production experience, Andrew has built a small home studio to produce more personal demos and music. Andrew has also helped produce tracks for local Dayton band Hometown Rivals. He has also begun to release original pop and jazz compositions through Bandcamp. Andrew plans to continue to compose, produce, and perform jazz and pop work beyond the Cincinnati area into the future.
