AD finds influences from a plethora of different areas in music. The most obvious of these would be the electro pioneers Kraftwerk, and the synthpop generation that followed. Depeche Mode and Human League are amongst the early 80s pop music that drove AD into writing electronic music, and also experimental artists such as Mike Oldfield, whose use of delicate layers and diverse instrumentation are key elements of success. Many "indie" bands of the 21st century also have a lasting effect on the music of AD; Franz Ferdinand, The Futureheads and Coldplay are just some of these bands. Also, pianists such as Matthew Bellamy of Muse have inspired AD to write and play, so as you can see, an electronic musician does not have to be influenced only by electronic artists.

What sets AD apart from the crowd is that he writes, records and performs everything solo; no session musicians were hired, everything you can hear was created by one man. Implementing this into live performances through use of a pre-recorded backing track, AD's on-stage improvisation skills are to be admired. No two shows will ever be the same.
