Bio

“He was absolutely mesmerizing on guitar” – Denise Strong, CAMP – Christian Artists and Musicians Project

“…the kind of music that leaves you speechless, in awe of the musician, or inspires and motivates you to spend hours in frustration trying to find those tones on your own guitar” – Guitarist Network Magazine

Biography –

I believe that there are some feelings or emotions that words cannot express; that’s why there is music. I discovered this as a little kid, sitting in a movie theater, watching Star Wars. The music was so powerful, so captivating. It is impossible to imagine those movies without John Williams’ score blasting out of the speakers.

Years later at the age of 13, I discovered the electric guitar. I bought my first guitar at a garage sale and my life has never been the same. I spent hours learning chords, scales, songs and anything else I could get my hands on. I joined several different bands in the years that followed and learned what it was like to be part of a band and play with other musicians.

At the age of 22, I attended a Phil Keaggy concert and was completely blown away by the power of a solo acoustic guitar. I immediately switched to acoustic guitar and discovered a unique sound that resonated with me.

Since then, I have recorded 4 CD’s of original compositions – “The Acoustic Project”, “Maybe Someday”, ”Peacefully Blue”, and “The Awesome Immensity”. I also played all the guitars on the worship CD “Free” by Ephesus Music. I have been fortunate to perform all over the world including Germany, Chicago, Indianapolis, and Colorado. In 2003, I was a regional finalist in Guitar Center’s Guitarmageddon competition and was a top 5 finalist in the Phil Keaggy songwriting competition.

I love to push the boundaries of the acoustic guitar by using two handed tapping, electric style lead playing, loops, and effects such as wah and delay. I still enjoy the electric guitar as well and write instrumental music that combines elements of rock, blues, jazz, and shred. When all is said and done though, my goal is to take all the things I’ve learned and write / perform music that touches people and transports them to a different place. Maybe even to a galaxy far, far away.
