Bio
Andrew Maxbauer is a composer and percussionist, born and raised in Traverse City, Michigan. He was a founding member of the Elmwood Kathryn Quartet and anchored the drum chair from 2006-2009, performing original music and jazz standards as well as collaborating with artists such as musician/composer Jeff Haas and Mo(ve)ment , a Dutch multimedia arts group. He currently directs his own chamber group, the Andrew Maxbauer Ensemble. Andrew has also written music for the dance studio at Northwestern Michigan College. Mr. Maxbauer has studied at Michigan State University and is currently studying performance and composition at Western Michigan University.
