Bio

Andrew Miramonti is one of St. Louis' rising young guitarists of the his generation. He has studied music extensively under many St. Louis greats such as Dave Black, Tom Byrne, Dan Rubright, Randy Bahr, John McClellan, Matt Daniels, Carolbeth True, Kim Portnoy, and Paul Demarinis. Andrew Miramonti began playing piano at the age of 6. By ten he began playing drums at churches and dance bands around St. Louis. He then learned how to play saxophone and trumpet. At the age o f twelve he began to play guitar, and since has performed locally and regionally with various bands at venues such as: The Pageant, The Sheldon Concert Hall, The Duck Room, Cicero's, Delmar Lounge, BB's Jazz Blues & Soups, Atomic Cowboy, The Gramphone, Pop's Blue Moon, Venice Cafe, Erato Wine Bar, Pop's, Red Sea, Windows Off Washington, Way Out Club, Buckner Brewery, Club Mix, Roadhouse 61, Llywellyn's, Focal Point, Bar Louie, Hair Of The Dog, Sky Music Lounge, Cafe Mense, Natural Fact Deli, and the Hi Pointe to name a few. Under his own name, he performs around St. Louis and regionally leading a group, trio and as a solo guitarist. Andrew Miramonti Trio:
The Andrew Miramonti trio is a powerful modern jazz group based in St. Louis, Missouri. Although their music is heavily rooted in jazz, the band incorporates various other styles of music such as funk, latin, blues, rock, r&b, folk, and soul. The trio is led by guitarist, pianist, and composer, Andrew Miramonti. The trio also features drummer, Kevin Neyer; and bassist, Tracey Morrissey. The three musicians met while studying music at Webster University and have since been performing for several years together all around St. Louis and the surrounding areas. The trio is able to capture and create many different fresh and exciting sounds by combining the textures of electric and acoustic guitars, acoustic and electric bass, drum set, and a variety of percussion. The band has an extensive repertoire of music from jazz and beyond to originals. The trio has a great fan base and a group of loyal supporters. The Andrew Miramonti Trio's eclectic jazz influenced sound brings an exciting and energetic atmosphere to any venue.

Solo Guitarist:
As a solo guitar, Andrew Miramonti combines jazz, pop, and classical traditions into a powerful and entertaining performance. His sound is influenced by solo jazz giants such as Joe Pass and Pat Metheney, the acoustic styles of Michael Hedges and Andy McKee, and the finger style traditions of Chet Atkins and Lenny Breaux. With the use of an acoustic guitar and arch top jazz guitar, he is able to play an array of styles and different musical textures. As a solo guitarist, he is perfect for any occasion.
