Andrew Rouse

Andrew Rouse - formerly known as Drew Rouse or Drew Rouse & the Gathering - is a fiercely independent, Canadian singer-songwriter who has toured extensively throughout North America, and parts of Europe.

This acoustic messenger has captured the hearts of audiences from neighbourhood coffee houses to the hottest live venues and opening slots from the east to west coasts.

Andrew has a unique propensity for meshing smooth rhythms with driving melodies centred around environmental and social issues, never preaching. Often described as "Conscious Acoustic Soul", his music is soulful, powerful, and earthy. His voice is intoxicating. His presence, uplifting. His live performance combined with his passion and charismatic edge have earned him a very loyal, ever growing following. Andrew keeps you moving.

The Gathering is known as the blend of musicians and fans that culminate at Andrew's performances to celebrate and listen to his live original music. Andrew has performed with many different arrangements of musicians and instruments. He usually calls on local musicians, when on tour, to accompany him on local stages. This provides for an ever evolving live show.

Andrew began writing poetry at the tender age of 7, and composing professionally at age 14. He has released six independent albums to date: “Rage”, “Flowers”, “Live From Bearsville”, “In My Movie”, “The Flesh and The Spirit”, with his most recent release, “Singing To The Choir”. He is currently preparing to work on a new recording.

When not on stage performing, Drew can be found in a studio near you teaching yoga, or ont he farm enjoying the best organic food and flavours.
